How to use Pludor Checkout & Payments: step-by-step guide

Updated 1 October 2026 · Pludor team · 2 sources

Pludor checkout runs on Stripe Connect so buyers pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay (or Pludor wallet balance) and money is paid out to the seller's own bank account; the same rails power QR instant-pay links and client invoices.

Stitching together a payment processor, an invoicing tool and a way to take in-person payments is expensive and leaves money scattered across systems.

What you need

How to do it

How do I use Checkout & Payments, step by step?

  2. Check your currency: Confirm your store currency and country in Settings.
  3. Take a test order: Buy one of your own products to see the full checkout and confirmation email.
  4. Share QR pay links: Download product or store QR codes to accept payment in person.
  5. Review Finance: Open Finance to see each payment, the fee deducted and your payouts.

Common questions

How do I set up online payments for my small business?

You need a payment processor connected to a checkout. With Pludor, create a free store at pludor.com/setup, open Settings, and connect or create your Stripe account - payouts then go to your own bank account. Confirm your store currency and country, then place a test order to see the full checkout and confirmation email.

What does Pludor charge per sale?

Pludor charges a platform fee of 4.99% + $0.90 per paid online order, deducted before payout. Card processing is charged separately by Stripe. Cash sales recorded in POS carry no platform fee, and wallet-to-wallet transfers between Pludor users are free.

How can I take in-person payments without buying a card terminal?

Download product or store QR codes from your dashboard and let customers scan to pay, or install the Pludor Smart Terminal app on a spare Android phone with NFC to accept tap-to-pay. Pair the terminal with your store's POS, ring up the sale, and the customer taps their card or scans the QR code. Payments show up in Finance and the POS end-of-day report.

Where does my money go when someone pays me?

Card payments are processed by Stripe and paid out to the bank account connected to your Stripe account, minus the platform fee and processing. Payout timing follows your Stripe account schedule. On Pludor you can see each payment, the fee deducted, and your payouts in the Finance view.

Is Pludor checkout free to start?

Yes - Checkout & Payments is on for every store, including the Free plan at $0 with no item limit and no card needed to sign up. Each month a free amount of everything is included (for example 3,000 visits and 100 AI replies); past that you pay only for what you use in credits, where 1 credit = 1 cent. New stores get 500 free credits.

Can customers pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

Yes. Pludor checkout runs on Stripe Connect, so buyers can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or their Pludor wallet balance. Just connect Stripe in your store's Settings and these payment options are available at checkout automatically.

How do I send an invoice to a client and get paid online?

Pludor's client invoicing uses the same checkout rails as your online store, so an invoice payment lands in the same order history and payout view as everything else. Connect Stripe in Settings, create the invoice, and your client pays through the same checkout supporting card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and wallet. Refunds can go back to the original payment method or as wallet credit.

How is Pludor different from just using Stripe Payment Links or PayPal?

With separate tools, your links, invoices and QR payments each live in a different system. On Pludor, one checkout powers online, QR and invoice payments, all sharing one order history and payout view. Buyers also get a wallet with balance, cashback and gift cards at checkout, and you see fees, payouts, W-9 and 1099 info in the Finance view instead of only a processor dashboard.

How do I test that my checkout works before sharing my store?

Place a test order yourself: buy one of your own products to see the full checkout flow and the confirmation email. On Pludor, do this after connecting Stripe and confirming your store currency in Settings. Then check the Finance view to see the payment, the fee deducted, and the payout.

Can my staff take payments and how do I keep track of who sold what?

Yes. In Pludor's Point of Sale, add staff with individual PINs so each sale is attributed to whoever rang it up. At the end of the day, run the end-of-day report to reconcile cash and card totals. You can optionally connect a receipt printer or cash drawer in the POS hardware settings.
