Common questions

How do I manage local deliveries for my small business without paying for a courier?

You can run your own deliveries with your own drivers using Pludor's Local Deliveries tool. Open Deliveries in the Core Commerce menu, group orders into zones and batches, assign them to your drivers, and update the status as they complete runs. It's included on every store, including the Free plan.

What's the best way to organize delivery routes for my restaurant or bakery?

Group orders by delivery zone and batch instead of sending drivers out one order at a time. In Pludor, open Deliveries, pick the zone and date, and assign batches to drivers so they complete efficient runs instead of criss-crossing town. You can then filter by driver to review each run.

How much does Pludor Local Deliveries cost?

It's on for every store, including the Free plan at $0 with no item limit. Each month a free amount of everything is included; past that you pay only for what you use in credits (1 credit = 1 cent), and new stores get 500 free credits. Pludor charges a platform fee of 4.99% + $0.90 per paid online order, deducted before payout.

How do I assign orders to delivery drivers and track when they're done?

In Pludor's Deliveries section, assign each order or batch to a bearer (driver). Then mark the run out for delivery, and delivered once it's done. You can filter by driver to check their completed runs.

How do I know what to pack before my delivery runs go out?

Use Pludor's Pack List: open Pack List in the Operations menu, filter by status, zone, batch and date range, then pick from the aggregated list of everything to pack. The per-order breakdown helps you pack each order, and you can print the list for the packing table.

Can I hire a local courier for one-off deliveries instead of using my own drivers?

Yes. Go to pludor.com/wayfare, choose Parcel, and enter the pickup and drop-off addresses plus a description of the item. Nearby couriers will send offers, you pick one, and you can track the delivery from your account.

How do I set up delivery zones for my online store?

Set up your shipping zones and rates in the Shipping section under Orders in the Core Commerce menu, or enable pickup if you prefer. Then use the Deliveries tool to filter orders by zone and date when planning runs. This keeps each driver working one area at a time.

Do customers get notified when their order is out for delivery?

Yes. As you move each order through packed, shipped/out for delivery and delivered in Pludor's Orders section, the buyer is notified at each step. Just update the status as your driver progresses through the run.

Is Pludor free to start, or do I need to pay before I try local deliveries?

You can start for free - store creation costs nothing, requires no card, and has no item limit. Local Deliveries is on for every store, and new stores get 500 free credits. Your store, checkout and orders never switch off for lack of credit.

How do I work out what to charge for delivery?

Work out a fee that covers the distance and your costs per trip. Pludor offers a free Delivery Fee Calculator - enter the distance and costs and it suggests a delivery price that covers each trip. It's instant and needs no account.
