Staff switch in and out on the POS with their PIN, and Team Staff shows hours, wages and tips per person with a pay-out action; each POS sale is attributed to the staff member on shift.
Tracking who worked when, and who earned which tips, usually needs a separate time-clock app.
5 steps, in this order. Each one is explained in the step-by-step guide.
You can do both in one system if your POS handles clock-ins. With Pludor, staff switch in and out on the POS using their PIN, and Team Staff shows hours, wages and tips per person - no separate time-clock app needed. It's included on every store, including the Free plan.
Give each staff member their own POS PIN and have them switch in at the start of a shift. In Pludor, every POS sale is then attributed to the staff member who was clocked in when it was rung up. This makes tip splitting and payouts much easier to work out.
Add each person in Team Staff with their name, email, phone (for 2FA) and role, then give them a POS PIN. They sign in with their own account and use the PIN to switch in on the POS at shift start. When they leave, remove their access in Team Staff.
The Staff Hours, Wages & Tips feature is on for every store, including the Free plan. The first 2 team members are free; additional team members use 200 credits each a month, and 1 credit = 1 cent. New stores also get 500 free credits to start.
Open Hours, Wages & Tips in Team Staff to see what each person is owed, then use the Pay Out action to record the payment. In Pludor you can also record tip or wage pay-outs during the End of Day process when you close the register.
Run an end-of-day report that breaks down totals by payment type and staff pay-outs. In Pludor, tap End of Day in POS, pick the date, count the cash against the drawer, record staff pay-outs, and print the report for your records.
Yes - Pludor has a free Timesheet & Hours Calculator where you enter start and end times and get total hours and wages instantly, no account needed. It's handy even if you track time another way. You can find it on the Staff Hours, Wages & Tips page.
Use individual accounts with roles and PINs rather than a shared login. Pludor staff accounts support roles and 2FA via their phone, and each person signs in with their own credentials. When someone leaves, remove their access in Team Staff.
An all-in-one POS is usually simpler because clock-ins, sales and tips stay linked automatically. With a separate app you have to match up timesheets with sales data yourself. Pludor combines both: PIN clock-in on the POS plus a hours, wages and tips report in Team Staff.
It's mainly for businesses with shifts and tips, like restaurants and retail. Anywhere multiple staff share a till and you need to know who worked when and who earned which tips. Pludor's version also attributes each sale to the staff member on shift, which helps with tip splitting.
