Pludor generates a payment QR for an amount or product; the customer scans it and pays by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Pludor wallet on their own phone. In POS the QR can be generated automatically after each payment.
Without a card reader you are stuck with cash or bank transfers you have to chase.
5 steps, in this order. Each one is explained in the step-by-step guide.
Use a QR scan-to-pay system: you show a QR code and the customer pays from their own phone. Pludor QR Scan-to-Pay does exactly this - it generates a payment QR for a product or custom amount, and the customer pays by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Pludor wallet. It's included on every store, including the Free plan.
You enter an amount or pick a product, show the QR code, and the customer scans it with their phone camera and completes payment on their screen. With Pludor: choose QR / Scan to Pay in POS (or download a product QR from your dashboard), enter the amount and an optional note, then let the customer scan and pay. The sale appears in Orders and Finance once confirmed.
It depends on the provider. Pludor includes QR payments on every store, including the Free plan ($0, no item limit), but charges a platform fee of 4.99% + $0.90 per paid online order, deducted before payout; card processing via Stripe is charged separately. Cash sales recorded in POS carry no platform fee, and wallet-to-wallet transfers between Pludor users are free.
Yes - with Pludor QR Scan-to-Pay the customer's phone opens a payment page where they can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Pludor wallet. They just scan the QR with their phone camera, no app or reader needed on your side. The only requirement is that the customer has a phone with a camera and data.
A QR payment system is usually the simplest option since you avoid buying or renting a card reader. Pludor QR Scan-to-Pay is built for vendors without a card reader, deliveries, home services and events - you can even auto-generate the next QR after each payment in POS so you can serve a queue quickly. You can also print product or store QR codes from your dashboard in advance.
Most payment platforms let you generate a QR from a payment or product link. Pludor offers a free QR Code Generator - paste your payment or menu link and get a QR code to print, no account needed. If you have a Pludor store, you can also download product and store QR codes straight from your dashboard.
Yes, with Pludor QR Scan-to-Pay you can attach an optional note when you enter a custom amount, and it's shown on the customer's payment page. That makes it easy to track what each payment was for. Each completed sale also appears in Orders and Finance with the details.
You need to connect a payment processor that handles payouts. With Pludor, open Settings in your store dashboard and connect (or create) your Stripe account, then confirm your store currency and country. Card payments are paid out to your bank, and you can review each payment, the fee deducted and your payouts in the Finance view.
With separate tools, your checkout, QR pay, invoices and refunds typically live in different systems and you check money in the processor dashboard only. On Pludor, one checkout powers online, QR and invoice payments, and they share a single order history and payout view, plus a finance view with fees, payouts, W-9 and 1099. Buyers can also pay with Pludor wallet balance, cashback and gift cards, which most processors don't offer.
You only need a device that can display the QR code - a phone, tablet or computer screen, or a printed QR code. The customer needs their own phone with a camera and data to scan and pay. No card reader or other hardware is required.
