Turn on card payments through Stripe (Checkout or Stripe Connect direct), PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, bank transfer and cash on delivery, and set your store currency and tax settings.
Customers abandon checkout when their preferred payment method is missing.
5 steps, in this order. Each one is explained in the step-by-step guide.
Open your store's Settings, scroll to payments, and turn on each method you want: card via Stripe, PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, bank transfer or cash on delivery. Then set your store currency and tax settings and place a test order with each method to confirm it works. On Pludor this is all in one payment settings section, and the store itself is free to create.
You can enable Zelle and Venmo as payment options in your checkout so customers can pay you directly. On Pludor, turn them on in Settings under payments and add your details. Since these are manual methods, you confirm the money arrived by marking the order paid.
At minimum, accept cards, and add the methods your customers actually use — many abandon checkout when their preferred option is missing. If you sell in the US, Zelle and Venmo are popular; for B2B, bank transfer matters; in cash-heavy markets, offer cash on delivery. Pludor lets you combine all of these plus PayPal in one checkout.
Pludor charges a platform fee of 4.99% + $0.90 per paid online order, deducted before payout, and card processing is charged separately by Stripe. The payment methods feature itself is on for every store including the Free plan. Cash sales recorded in POS carry no platform fee, and wallet-to-wallet transfers between Pludor users are free.
Yes, card payments require a connected Stripe account — you can connect an existing one or create it from your store dashboard. Stripe's processing fees are charged separately by the processor. On Pludor you can use Stripe Checkout or Stripe Connect direct.
Confirm the money arrived before fulfilling, and follow up on stale orders instead of letting them sit. On Pludor, manual methods like COD are confirmed by you with Mark Paid, and the Nudges feature can automatically remind customers about old COD orders — you set the age threshold, pick a template, and queue the reminders.
Use QR pay links that customers scan to reach your checkout, or record the sale in your POS. On Pludor you can download product or store QR codes from your dashboard, and cash sales recorded in POS carry no platform fee. You can also log walk-in sales as manual orders and mark them paid when the money arrives.
Separate tools like Stripe Payment Links, PayPal and Square Online typically give you distinct link, invoice and QR tools, with money showing up only in the processor dashboard. On Pludor, one checkout powers online, QR and invoice payments, and they share a single order history and payout view — plus a buyer wallet with balance, cashback and gift cards at checkout, and a finance view showing fees, payouts, W-9 and 1099.
Bank transfer is best for B2B or repeat customers you trust, since you're confirming payment yourself rather than relying on a processor. Treat it as a manual method: don't ship or hand over goods until the money has actually landed in your account. On Pludor you mark bank transfer orders paid manually once you see the funds.
Set your store currency and country in Settings, then configure your tax settings so checkout charges correctly. On Pludor, both live in the same payment settings section as your payment methods — set them before you test your checkout. After that, place a test order to see the full checkout and confirmation email.
