Each product can carry Brand, GTIN/UPC/EAN, MPN, SKU, product code, condition, cost and supplier. Brand, GTIN and MPN flow into your product feeds and structured data; cost and supplier stay private for your margins.
Products without brand and GTIN get limited reach in Shopping ads and AI shopping answers.
5 steps, in this order. Each one is explained in the step-by-step guide.
GTIN is the universal barcode number (UPC/EAN) that identifies a product anywhere. MPN is the manufacturer's own part number for the product model. SKU is your internal stock code that only your store uses for tracking inventory. You can make up SKUs yourself, but GTINs and MPNs come from the manufacturer.
Open your Products list, edit the product, and fill in the Brand, GTIN/UPC/EAN and MPN fields if the product has them, then save. On Pludor, your product feed picks up the new fields automatically, so they flow straight into Google Merchant Center, Meta and TikTok catalogs and structured data. There's also a free Barcode Generator tool that makes a printable barcode from your product code.
The most common cause is missing product identifiers - products without brand and GTIN get limited reach in Shopping ads and AI shopping answers. Add the brand and the GTIN/UPC/EAN for every branded product you sell, and make sure your feed includes them. On Pludor you just fill the fields on the product page and the feed updates itself.
In Merchant Center, add a scheduled-fetch data feed and paste your feed URL, then set it to fetch daily. On Pludor your feed URL is pludor.com/feeds/products.xml?tenant={your-store-slug}. Fix any warnings it shows, like missing images or prices, then create your Shopping campaigns.
Yes - keep cost and supplier in private fields that never appear in your feed, storefront or structured data. Pludor has private cost and supplier fields on every product for exactly this: they stay internal so your margins aren't exposed while brand, GTIN and MPN flow out to feeds. Just edit the product, enter cost and supplier, and save.
Nothing extra - product identifiers are on for every store, including the Free plan at $0 with no item limit. Pludor charges a platform fee of 4.99% + $0.90 per paid online order, deducted before payout, and card processing is charged separately by Stripe. Cash sales recorded in POS carry no platform fee.
No - if your product is handmade or custom with no official barcode, you can leave GTIN and MPN blank and just use your own SKU. Just be aware that products without brand and GTIN get limited reach in Shopping ads and AI shopping answers, so expect less distribution than branded products. If you want a barcode for labels anyway, Pludor's free Barcode Generator makes one from your product code.
Condition tells channels whether a product is new, used or refurbished - Google Shopping and other platforms require it. Set it per product when you edit it, alongside SKU and your identifiers. It's especially important for resellers, since listing a used item as new can get your feed disapproved.
Yes, as long as the fields are private rather than feed fields. On Pludor, cost and supplier are private fields that stay out of your product feeds and structured data, so shoppers and ad platforms never see them - only your margins benefit internally. Brand, GTIN and MPN are the only identifier fields that flow outward.
