Who do I call for a plumbing emergency in Bangkok?

First shut off the water at the main valve (usually near the meter or where the pipe enters the house) and switch off power to anything wet. Then call a plumber - or use "Not sure who to call?" on this page and we find one near you who can come now. For a gas smell, leave the building and call the gas company or 911.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

A burst or leaking pipe you cannot shut off, sewage coming back up, no water at all, a water heater leaking, or flooding near electrics. A dripping tap, a slow drain or a running toilet can wait for a normal appointment.

How do I find a good laundry near me in Bangkok and avoid getting ripped off?

Pick one with a current licence (shown on each listing), ask for the price in writing before work starts, never pay the whole job up front, and be wary of a quote far below the others - it usually leaves things out. Get two or three quotes for the same job - Pludor sends your job to local pros for free and brings the prices back.

Are there laundries who give free estimates in Bangkok?

Many do for bigger jobs (roofs, bathrooms, rewiring); small repairs usually carry a service-call fee instead. Ask when you call - or send your job through Pludor and compare quotes without phoning around.

Is roof repair or a burst pipe covered by home insurance?

Usually sudden damage (a storm, a pipe that bursts) is covered, while wear and tear or a slow leak is not. Take photos before anything is fixed, keep the plumber's or roofer's invoice, and call your insurer before big repairs.

Can Pludor find a pro for me in Bangkok?
